That’s a Wrap! MAGNET Scientific Meeting in Adelaide – 18th of November 2025
We were thrilled to gather at SAHMRI in Adelaide for the second MAGNET Scientific Meeting in 2025! The day opened with a brilliant keynote presentation from Alexis Whitton on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to transform clinical trials. We also celebrated an exciting milestone for MAGNET as Phil Batterham presented the early findings from the HeLiPaD Trial, one of MAGNET’s four Signature Trials.
Throughout the morning, Adrienne O’Neil and Aswin Ratheesh introduced innovative trial concepts through our Trial Endorsement Process, inviting valuable feedback from the network. Amanda Neil followed with a showcase of the ALIVE National Centre’s co-designed national roadmap for mental health research translation.
The second half of the program focused on the future of MAGNET now that our platform resources are fully developed and available to support your research.
Thank you to Talia Carl for sharing Growing Minds Australia’s priorities and next steps, and to Dr Ravi Iyer, Carla Haroutonian, and Mike Trott for presenting exciting MAGNET papers currently in progress.
We were delighted to close the day by recognising the outstanding work of our 2025 MAGNET Award winners:
- Amelia McGuinness – Early Career Researcher: Emerging Leader
- Recognise, Respond and Support – A Parent’s Guide to Youth Mental Health
